SRM is seeking a Senior Vice President to lead the strategy, operations, sales, and growth of our construction products business. Reporting directly to the CEO and based at our headquarters in Smyrna, Tennessee, you will strengthen performance, build customer and supplier relationships, and develop the team supporting this growing part of SRM.

The ideal candidate is a personable, hands-on leader with experience in construction or a related industry and a strong record of leading teams and improving business performance.

• Set the business strategy: Develop and execute plans to grow the business, strengthen its market position, and improve profitability.
• Lead operations and sales: Oversee purchasing, inventory, product availability, order fulfillment, distribution, and sales to support efficient operations and reliable customer service.
• Grow customer and supplier relationships: Build lasting partnerships with contractors, customers, suppliers, and industry contacts while representing SRM with professionalism and integrity.
• Manage financial performance: Oversee budgets, forecasts, operating costs, and profitability. Utilize data to guide decisions and identify opportunities.
• Develop the team: Recruit, coach, and support leaders across operations and sales. Set clear expectations and promote accountability and teamwork.
• Champion safety and quality: Maintain high standards for safe work practices, product quality, and customer service.
• Partner with the CEO: Share business results, priorities, challenges, and growth opportunities.
• Stay connected to the field: Visit business locations weekly, customer sites, and vendors to support performance and strengthen relationships.

• Experience in construction, construction products, building materials, or a related industry.
• A strong record of leading operations, developing teams, and improving business performance.
• Experience leading or partnering with sales teams to grow revenue and customer relationships.
• Understanding of contractors’ needs, job-site demands, and timely, accurate product delivery.
• Business and financial judgment, including experience with budgeting, inventory, and cost control.
• Clear communication and the ability to build credibility with customers, vendors, Team Members, and executive leaders.
• A hands-on approach, strong follow-through, and comfort using technology and business systems to track performance.
• Experience with rebar, sealants, concrete accessories, or related products is a plus. Multi-location or profit-and-loss responsibility is also preferred.
