About the Opportunity

Are you a proactive safety leader ready to make a lasting impact across multiple states? SRM Concrete is searching for an experienced Division Safety Manager to champion and execute safety initiatives throughout a multi-state division. In this high-impact role, you’ll partner with operations teams and senior safety leadership to uphold and advance our company-wide safety standards. You’ll serve as the go-to safety resource for regional leaders, ensuring compliance, driving risk reduction, and fostering a best-in-class safety culture at every level.

Your Mission & Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Safety Leadership: Collaborate with the Chief Safety Officer on strategic planning, policy development, and high-level incident response.
  • Team Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of regional Safety Managers, supporting their professional growth and ensuring consistent execution of safety programs.
  • Policy & Compliance: Develop, implement, and refine corporate safety policies and procedures in line with company goals and regulatory requirements.
  • Regulatory Oversight: Ensure full compliance with all FMCSA, OSHA, and MSHA regulations across all operations.
  • Audits & Investigations: Oversee comprehensive safety audits and lead investigations into significant incidents, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Data-Driven Improvement: Analyze safety metrics and incident data to identify trends, measure performance, and develop proactive risk-reduction strategies.
  • Project Safety Consulting: Serve as the primary safety consultant for large commercial projects, collaborating with operations to manage complex safety challenges.
  • Culture Champion: Partner with executive leadership to embed safety as a core value and integral part of our operational culture.
  • Field Leadership: Travel frequently to plants, job sites, and regional offices to provide hands-on guidance, support, and leadership.

What Sets You Apart

  • OSHA 10 and OSHA 30 certifications required.
  • Expert-level knowledge of FMCSA and OSHA regulations.
  • Extensive experience managing safety on large commercial construction projects.
  • Proven ability to conduct and lead high-level safety audits and incident investigations.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing a team of safety professionals.
  • Willingness and ability to travel frequently to project sites and regional offices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage at all levels.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field.
  • Preferred: Previous safety experience in the ready-mix concrete or construction materials industry.
  • Preferred: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or other advanced safety certifications.
  • Physical Requirements: Capable of conducting inspections at active concrete plants, mines, and construction sites. Comfortable with prolonged periods of desk work and computer use. Able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
