Your Mission & Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a dump truck to transport materials within the quarry and to designated locations.
  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and performance.
  • Plan routes, follow delivery schedules, and communicate proactively with dispatch and team members.
  • Maneuver trucks for loading and unloading, verifying delivery instructions and ensuring accuracy.
  • Maintain compliance with all DOT regulations, company policies, and safety standards.
  • Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
  • Keep your truck clean and well-maintained, performing minor repairs as needed.
  • Represent SRM with professionalism and a commitment to exceptional service on every job.

What Sets You Apart

  • Valid Class B CDL and a proven record of safe driving.
  • Strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.
  • Excellent vision, hand-eye coordination, and physical fitness to perform all driving and maintenance tasks.
  • Effective communication skills for working with dispatchers, coworkers, and customers.
  • Reliable, organized, and able to manage time to meet delivery schedules.
  • Positive, “go-getter” mindset with a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.
  • Experience in dump truck or heavy equipment operation is helpful, but a strong work ethic and eagerness to serve are most important.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physical tasks as needed.
